Registration Lottery
Registration for NeurIPS 2024 has been higher that we expected. To ensure there is room for authors of accepted papers and others who are creating content we are changing our usual first-come-first-served to a randomized lottery. We may not be able to accommodate everyone who may want to attend NeurIPS because of delays caused by COVID-19 and the fact that large conferences such as NeurIPS need to book convention centers years in advance.
You can join the lottery or check your status below.
We may still release a few tickets to the lottery but we do not have a set time or number.
If you are randomly selected to register, you will be sent an invitation to register by email. You will have 2 weeks to register, if you do not register in time your ticket will be immediately offered to someone else. Please take the steps necessary to avoid having email from @neurips.cc getting caught in your spam filter.
Please take this opportunity to update your profile information for 2024. You may indiate what type of affiliation you have, e.g. Industrial Researcher or Junior Faculty, your dietary preference, and your pronoun if desired. None of these influence your chance of winning.
Please keep these imporant rules in mind when joinging the lottery:
- Your profile must contain your firstname, lastname and institution in order to be chosen for the lottery. If any of these fields are blank, we cannot print your badge, and you will be disqualified from the lottery. Be especially mindful of this advice if you've never registered before or if you sumitted a paper using a new email address.
- Attempting to manipulate the lottery system in any way to unfairly increase your chances of winning is a violation of the code of conduct and may result in the cancellation of your registration or our refusal to allow you to check into the meeting. For example, adding yourself many times to the lottery under different email addresses in an attempt to increase your chances of registration is a violation of the code of conduct.
- You will be required to present an ID matching the name you used to register for the lottery in order to check in to the meeting and pick up your badge.
You will get an email letting you know if and when you win the lottery. But you may also check by visiting this page while logged in.
